Kallie and Grantt - 'Don't tell the Bride' June 2013

Back in June we were approached by a lovely groom, Grantt. He was planning a wedding for his Bride to be, Kallie, and only had three weeks to organise everything. We received a phone call in the early stages of the planning process as Grantt was trying to find a venue where he could create a storybook fantasy themed wedding. Our Blank Canvas option appealed to Grantt, and after a fun conversation about fire eaters, horses and fairy doors, he decided to come along for a viewing. We knew from the start that the wedding was for BBC3's 'Don't tell the Bride', a show where the Groom takes the reigns and plans the whole wedding with no input or contact with his fiancé.

The following couple of weeks were a little crazy at times, but a lot of fun and Grantt's vision was brought to life!

Here are a few pictures of their fabulous day :)

As the new year sets in we know the January blues can take over (I miss the festive tinsel and cheeselets already). So, to cheer you up we have a great deal to offer to all of you engaged couples looking to book your 2013 weddings!

We have teamed up with the fabulous Mavric Photography to tempt you with a deal too good to refuse! In the months of January and February (2013) both Mavric Photography and us here at The House Meadow are offering you a 10% discount when you book us together for your 2013 wedding. That's a good deal right? You're saving £180 with just us, let alone the 10% off your chosen photography package. Mega money saving!

Kirsten from Mavric Photography was the photographer behind the stunning styled shoot we held here back in Summer 2012. You can see a couple of the images from the shoot below.

Hopefully that is enough to cheer you up on this gloomy January afternoon.

Here are some more details about how to claim this mega saving…

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Our first Wedding - Jono and Lucy May 26th 2012

It seems a lifetime ago now but back in May 2012 we hosted our first ever Wedding at The House Meadow.

The lovely Jono and Lucy had booked their Wedding with us right back when the meadow was nothing but a damp, cold, muddy field. Somehow with their exceptional vision and imagination, accompanied by our mood boards and diagrams they too thought that The House Meadow could be a really special place to hold their Wedding.

Months and months went past and the meadow slowly but surely became all that we had promised.

Jono and Lucy booked some amazing suppliers - many of whom we have worked with since and really believe create a Wedding "Dream Team".

Venue : The House Meadow
Photographer : Anna Marie Stepney
Teepee's : Beautiful World Tents
Caterer : Home Gurr'own
Florist : Idyllic Days/Tiggy Johnson

Jono, the Groom, with Humanist Celebrant, Croianna Bradshaw, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the lovely Bride Lucy under the Oak Tree by the Lake.

Lucy chose to walk through the Wild Flower Meadow with her maids and Father to finally greet Jono under the Oak Tree

Pom Poms decorated the lower branches of the tree

Such a beautiful Confetti Shot

Florist, Tiggy Johnson, provided the couple with their stunning flowers

Caterer, Nicci Gurr of Home Gurr'own, created the couple a bespoke menu to fit with their Kentish Countryside style using local ingredients and incorporating the couples favourite flavours

The stunning teepee's were hired from the lovely Beautiful World Tents

The Tug of War was great fun for all the gents (and a couple of ladies!) and really made use of the space in the Meadow

The Couple chose the band "Stitched Up" for their evening entertainment but for earlier in the day 2 members of the band played acoustically for the guests

Golden Hour in the meadow with a low sun and an early evening glow

Jono's Mum made their cake with hessian and floral details

Beautiful Lotus Flower paper lanterns on the lake

And finally every camp fire needs toasted marshmallows :)
