Here we go....

Great pics, from such a fun trash the dress shoot.

Come on ladies what are you waiting for? Get your wedding dresses out of the box and come and play!!!!

Thanks again to our very game model Sarah, and of course to Steve at Cap2ure for braving the rain and producing such amazing shots - especially with "Big Dave" the cat!

Behind the scenes at our "Trash the Dress" photo shoot - 23rd Feb 2011

Today was toooo funny! At the last minute our model let us down, so panic reigned this morning as we sent out Facebook pleas for any willing female models to come up to the farm (in the pouring rain) and do a spot of modelling....this is where friends you've know for years really do come up trumps :) My friend of over 20 years, Sarah Vincent, kindly answered our pleas and rolled up at the farm with a smile and a bloomin' great attitude...the pics will explain all. Here are a few behind the scenes images to give you the idea!

Proper pics from Steve at cap2ure will follow shortly.

No one can say we don't know how to have fun :)

We're live....

Yay! Our website is finally here, up and running. Please check it out - www.thehousemeadow.co.uk
Thank you to Puffin Creative for all their hard work too www.puffincreative.co.uk

I hope you enjoy browsing The House Meadow's website, there are still a few tweaks to be made but all the important info is on there, plus it looks pretty damn cute too :)

The bad news is that the ground is still so wet :( we can't continue with any of our landscaping or planting until we get a good couple of weeks of dry weather. It's infuriating as our landscaper Neil, from Gardens for pleasure, has our trees in ready for planting. Luckily he can keep them in cold storage so they don't start sprouting and coming to life too soon....so if anyone wants to do a sun dance for us please please please do :)

Thats all for now x

Shopping....

We travelled up to Birmingham yesterday to the NEC. It's host to the spring fair, which is a massive trade fair.
After traipsing around hall after hall we eventually found some gorgeous pieces that'd look fab at the venue :)
There is a stunning gazebo, an iron one, which would look so very pretty on the island on the lake. Long term we'd like to have a permanent structure but until planning permission is obtained this option is perfect! It's cream with gorgeous details and I can picture it with roses or clematis climbing up it. Soooooo lovely for piccies. So that's a definite option for this summer! :)
We also found some gorgeous tree benches and kissing benches in the same style, which again, whilst the venue is growing into itself would create some more picturesque photo opportunities.
And if we manage to get the barn ready for Christmas then the decorations and lighting for that could be amazing.......
Can't wait for the spring :)

It's time to blog....

Well, it's a Saturday night. Naturally the only ideas swirling around in this big excuse of a brain are those of The House Meadow.
It's a really exciting time, so much is happening, yet due to all the snow and rain we are sadly behind in our plans. As soon as the ground is accessible the last of the groundworks will be done and at long last our planting schedule can get back on track.

At the moment we are busy writing out content for our website whilst the finishing touches to the design are being made. Ive seen some screen shots and it looks fabulous, a really great representation of who we are and what we're about! The content of the site has led me to look back at the gorgeous teepee tents that we saw back in the summer of 2010. I'm putting together some packages for the teepee's and I know, that if it were my wedding I'd definitely try and get my hands on them. They are just stunning, and in the gorgeous idyllic country setting that we find ourselves in, they'd look truly amazing. Anyway, more of that when the site is here!

I'm really keen to get working on our spring photo shoot too, again, so many ideas are floating around already. Our good photographer friend, Steve at cap2ure, will be with us again to inspire and create some brilliant photographic opportunities. I can't wait to work with all of my friends in the business....florists, caterers, venue decorators etc etc....I know that we'll create some superb shots, and eventually some amazing events.

It's exciting, I'm confident, I just hope the rain stays away!

Well, there it is, our first blog. It may be boring to you, but hey, I'm glad I've got it off my chest :) x
